Junior Interior Designer (Entry Level)

Right Meets Left Interior Design is an award-winning, established multidisciplinary interior design firm specializing in high-end residential projects throughout the United States. 

We are currently looking for an Entry Level Junior Interior Designer. We are open to a new design school graduate or career changer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone new to the industry to dive deep and learn the nuts and bolts of the business of interior design, while also working closely with our Principal and Founder, Courtney McLeod. 

CAD skills are a must have requirement. We are a small team, so there are opportunities to work on all aspects of interior design from construction management to luxury interior design conceptualization. This person is someone with an optimistic and positive attitude. Our ideal candidate is responsible and self motivated, with the ability to create structure and ownership around their own tasks in a less formal work environment. A strong balance of creative and analytical thinking is needed for this role. There is a tremendous opportunity for growth within the firm. 

 Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

 OR 

  • Proven Expert Level CAD skills and familiarity with furniture plans and construction documentation

  • Programs Required: Google Sketch-Up Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Google Workspace 

  • Ability to multitask, strong time management and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Description:

  • Measure interior spaces and create basic floor plans and elevations in Google Sketch-Up and Layout 

  • Create 3D models in Google Sketch-Up

  • Maintain sample library

  • Research inspiration photos for design concept boards

  • Research FF&E options for client projects

  • Create proposals and purchase orders using Houzz Pro software

  • Create detailed project line item budgets 

  • Create project schedules such as paint schedules, lighting schedules, millwork, etc. 

  • Assist with social media content creation and TV production schedules 

  • Drivers License and willingness to drive on occasion is a huge plus! 

This is a salaried position starting at $55,000
